Taking bearings and making land are always critical stages of navigation, especially at night.

The VION R & D Deptartment has created the PER, continuous, lighting : the compass is permanently lit by the "Microtec" bulb: no more corroded contacts, no more batteries to change.

Furthermore, with this type of lighting, the glare of the torchlight which is necessary to reactivate a "photoluminescent" light source is thus avoided.


Take your compass at any moment, at night-time, at the chart table, the soft continuous
glow of the PER permanent lighting facilitates the sighting of the landmark.

Finally, this is an economical solution since the bulb has a life of approximately 8 years and can then be changed for a new one.
